About Brendan Patricks

Brendan Patricks is a British actor and magician based in London.

As an actor, he is known for roles including Henry Hampshire in Rivals, Evelyn Napier in Downton Abbey, Aston in Entitled and Reverend Ainsworth in Gentleman Jack. His television credits also include Breeders, Gavin & Stacey, Grace, Doctor Who and Outlander.

After studying Drama at the University of Hull, Brendan trained at LAMDA before beginning his professional career in the West End production of Journey's End.

Alongside his acting work, Brendan is a member of The Magic Circle and performs close-up magic at weddings, corporate events and private parties throughout London and the UK. His work as a performer has taken him from film sets and television studios to some of the country's most prestigious venues.

Although acting and magic may appear to be very different disciplines, both rely on the same foundations: storytelling, timing and creating memorable moments for an audience.

Recent work includes Rivals, where Brendan plays Henry Hampshire. Preparing for the role involved two months of polo training ahead of filming.

Brendan lives and works in London with his wife, a film editor and voice over artist, two daughters and a pair of giant cats.
