Alongside acting, Brendan Patricks is a magician in London. He's even combined the two many times. James Corden wrote him a part in GAVIN & STACEY, as a socially ambivalent wedding magician, and with Dynamo, he created 02'S MAGIC COMMERCIAL. Most recently, he used my card skills in GRACE as an ex-magician fallen on hard times who cheats in his local casino.

Magic began at Uni when he finished my dissertation on Presidential Policy & The Die Hard Trilogy (yes – that is what he chose). Everyone else was still writing so he started in on sleight of hand.

After training at LAMDA, he met magicians for the first time & realised he wasn’t as good as those who started at eleven years old (surprise, surprise). Soon after that, he was on a long film shoot in India. When he wasn’t on set, he'd practice sleight of hand ten hours a day and on returning to London, he'd caught up with the magicians he'd met three months earlier.  

His friend & mentor Noel Qualter, the iPad magician, got him started professionally. Brendan performs magic, mind reading, sleight of hand, misdirection & crooked gambling moves at all sorts of events and loves every second.
